“Sing, Choirs of Angels” is the first CD put out by the new Mormon Tabernacle Choir label, and I have to say, I love it! Although the Tabernacle Choir tends to succeed on any album it releases, this new Christmas CD goes above and beyond their usual greatness.

Tracks include traditional favorites such as, “Away in a Manger”, “Silent Night”, and “Oh, Come, All Ye Faithful”, several John Ritter classics, and some fun newbies (at least to me), like the fun Caribbean Carol, “The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy”.

I haven’t quite put my finger on what makes this album so great, but the Tabernacle Choir seems so…fresh and alive. The sound on the CD is especially crisp, and the choice of songs is perfect.
