The new HBO dramatized series about a polygamist family has prompted reaction from many groups, including the Church

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has criticized the series stylized portrayal of polygamy and its connections to the Church (the opening sequence shows the fictional family in front of the Salt Lake Temple).
